Working with Cheryl

Working with Cheryl

Since mid-2011 Peter has been working with new art teacher, Cheryl Nonmus, who has introduced him to various new media. Peter especially loves his sculptures and working with clay and has shown a natural flair for pastels.

As a result Peter’s more recent artworks are quite ecclectic, but still colourful.

As 2013 began, Peter continued to work with Cheryl on his rapidly expanding collection of works. While still favouring the abstract style with his painting, a strong musical theme began to emerge through the year, incorporating guitars and other musical instruments into many of his new creations.

An invitation to hold his first solo exhibition at the Cooroy Butter Factory Arts Centre in November 2013 took his art in even more exciting directions with a deeper exploration of mixed media and the challenge of painting on recycled doors, as he developed new  material for the exhibition.
